about

Jack's tribute to the late great genius that was Don Van Vliet - it's compressed almost to destruction: The lyrics were derived from an amalgam of his "10 Commandments of guitar playing" and splinters from the infamous episode where the Captain incarcerated the Magic Band in an outback shack for weeks forcing them to learn their parts for "Trout Mask Replica"

lyrics

Mojave Hat
Kittle pitchering...
those hissing, quivering little snakes
that had sad dogs howling into the storm's eye
Mouths in the crowd with frozen phlegm

I liked it hot
no velvet glove
I listened for the birds hiding in the dark bush
fumbled with keys to the church...
and trapped them in the cabin
to summon spirits... to point that lightning rod
to where there was no thought
Just walked towards beelzebub
wearing pegasus spurs ...
and my Mohave hat....

I was just following my nose
I was just following my nose
....dipping my toes in the water

I didn't drown in the flood

a soft kiss of zombie hoohah

No walking on the wild side.

Jack thought it wise to put out an album before he goes out in his box
